Description
Tobacco use remains a leading cause of premature death among individuals identifying as Hispanic or Latino (Latine). While this population has lower overall commercial tobacco use rates than the general U.S. population, this statistic does not reflect the diversity within Latine communities. Tobacco use and related health outcomes vary by gender, nation of origin, cultural values, economic status, and language proficiency. Many communities face significant risks and would benefit from accessible, affordable, and culturally and linguistically appropriate solutions.
